OK, the only thing that’s going to shock me now is if the Republican party actually disappears. These guys are either really good at scheming, or the most narcissistic fools that I’ve ever seen. They’re becoming some kind of caricature of what they oppose. I’ve seen less crazy in a good episode of Monty Python.
At a guess, some of those amendments weren’t loaded down with enough crazy for some of the members, or maybe some of the wording wasn’t ‘conservative’ enough, for instance they mentioned abortion and forgot to call it ‘pre-person murder’ or something like that.
